- "It is difficult to believe." - Caine
- "They are very beautiful." - Caine, when told carvings are very valuable
- "I do not want to disturb you. . . I want your money. . . I wish to rob your bank. . . . Not all your money only what is customary in such cases." - Caine, trying to be thrown into prison but doing so with his usual politeness
